Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to your traditional riad in the heart of the historic Medina. If your flight arrives early, take the opportunity to begin exploring the vibrant streets of Marrakech with guidance from our local team.
In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner in downtown Marrakech. You’ll savor your first taste of Moroccan cuisine and soak in the city’s lively atmosphere.
Note: If you’re arriving in Casablanca, the drive to Marrakech takes approximately 2.5 hours via highway.
This morning, depart Marrakech for the stunning Imlil Valley in the High Atlas Mountains. Upon arrival, check into your guesthouse nestled in the heart of the valley.
From here, Group One will begin a challenging trek to Toubkal Base Camp. This hike requires prior training, as you’ll ascend from 1,740 meters (5,709 feet) to 3,207 meters (10,522 feet) — reaching the base of North Africa’s highest peak. You’ll stay overnight at our mobile mountain camp, with all meals included. Showers are available at a nearby refuge with shared dormitory accommodations.
Meanwhile, Group Two will enjoy a gentler day exploring the landscapes of Imlil Valley. You can relax at the guesthouse or take part in light, guided activities suited to your fitness level.
Comfortable mountain footwear is essential for both groups. Overnight in private rooms at the guesthouse, with full board provided.
Group One – Summit of Mount Toubkal
Start early for your final push to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.
Today’s trek is more demanding than the previous day. Walking sticks are highly recommended.
The ascent takes about 3.5 hours. You’ll climb from 3,207 meters (10,522 feet) to 4,167 meters (13,671 feet).
At the top, take in panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. On clear days, you may even spot Marrakech and the distant Sahara.
After soaking in the scenery, begin your 2.5-hour descent back to base camp.
Spend the afternoon resting and connecting with the local crew. Meals and support will be provided at the camp.
Group Two – Scenic Hike in Imlil Valley
Begin the day with a relaxed breakfast at the guesthouse.
Then, head out for a gentle hike through the Imlil Valley, adapted to your fitness level.
Later, enjoy a picnic lunch by the river or at a scenic spot of your choice.
You can also unwind on the rooftop terrace. The views of the valley offer a peaceful, immersive mountain experience.
Group One – Optional Tizi Ouannoums Summit
For those eager to keep climbing, today offers the chance to summit Tizi Ouannoums at 3,700 meters (12,139 feet).
This trek is less demanding than the Toubkal ascent. It takes around 3 hours round-trip, including the descent.
If you prefer to rest, you can head back to the guesthouse after breakfast.
You’ll meet up with Group Two later in the valley for a shared lunch. The walk down takes approximately 4 hours.
Group Two – Valley Activities & Cultural Connection
Continue with a relaxed morning in Imlil Valley, choosing from light walks or rest time at the guesthouse.
If you’re interested, join the local host in preparing a traditional Moroccan lunch — a hands-on experience full of flavor and culture.
Both groups will reunite midday to share a delicious home-cooked meal in the heart of the Atlas Mountains.
Begin with a sunrise yoga session to gently wake the body and mind.
Next, take part in a hands-on Moroccan cooking class, where you’ll learn to prepare traditional couscous — a Friday favorite in local homes.
Enjoy the dish you’ve created together before we depart for the Agafay Desert in the afternoon.
Upon arrival, choose your experience: ride an ATV across the rocky terrain, join a peaceful camel trek at sunset, or relax by the pool with a book or cool drink in hand.
As night falls, gather around the fire for dinner and an intimate storytelling session beneath a sky full of stars — far from the city lights.
After a relaxed breakfast, we begin our journey toward the Atlantic coast and the charming town of Essaouira.
Along the way, pass through the Argan Forest, where — if nature allows — you’ll catch a glimpse of the famous tree-climbing goats.
Next, stop at a local Argan oil cooperative to learn how this ancient tree supports both Moroccan cuisine and beauty traditions. Discover the global appeal of its natural products.
In the afternoon, we arrive at a beautiful winery estate, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour, a tasting of organic Moroccan wines, and a peaceful lunch beneath olive and argan trees.
Once in Essaouira, settle into your riad and end the day with happy hour at the historic Skala, soaking in sweeping views of the Atlantic sunset.
Start your morning with a hands-on cooking class in the coastal town of Essaouira, where fresh seafood and argan oil take center stage.
Prefer something other than fish? Customize your menu with guidance from expert local chefs while discovering why Moroccan cuisine is internationally acclaimed.
Later in the day, unwind with a visit to a traditional Hammam, followed by a massage using argan-based oils. These ancient wellness rituals leave your skin refreshed and your body restored.
This day blends culinary exploration with authentic Moroccan spa culture, offering both flavor and rejuvenation.
Enjoy a free day to uncover the magic of Essaouira at your own pace. Wander through vibrant markets filled with handcrafted wooden items and unique silver jewelry.
Visit a local artisan center supporting deaf and mute craftsmen known for their delicate filigree silverwork—an important community initiative we proudly support.
For those seeking adventure, take a swim in the refreshing Atlantic, try surfing, or ride horseback along the stunning coastline.
This day offers the perfect blend of culture, craftsmanship, and coastal excitement in one unforgettable Moroccan town.

Step out to wander the vibrant streets and bustling markets, discovering hidden gems throughout the old city—all within easy walking distance.
As evening falls, unwind with a refreshing drink on a rooftop terrace overlooking the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square. Enjoy breathtaking views of the sunset as Marrakech comes alive with color and energy.
Explore Marrakech’s rich history and culture with a knowledgeable local guide. Begin your day visiting iconic sites like the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and the serene Secret Gardens.
Dive into the vibrant souks, wandering their lively alleys and soaking up the colorful atmosphere. For lunch, enjoy a traditional lamb barbecue called “mechoui” and taste “Tangia,” a local specialty served at a cozy restaurant once run by King Hassan II’s personal chef.
In the afternoon, discover Morocco’s herbal traditions with a visit to a local herbalist, learning about the culinary and medicinal uses of native herbs and spices.
Optionally, experience the cultural art of henna with a hands-on session. Choose your design and get a beautiful Moroccan stamp on your hands or body. (Henna pricing varies by design.)

The best time to visit Morocco is during spring, from March to May, or autumn, from September to November. These seasons offer the most comfortable weather for exploring the country, whether you are traveling as a family, a couple, or solo. Temperatures are not as cold as winter and not as hot as summer, making it ideal for sightseeing, hiking in the Atlas Mountains, or visiting the Sahara Desert.
Keep in mind that Ramadan can affect travel during these periods, so check the dates before planning your trip. Spring and autumn are also popular times, so it is important to book accommodations, activities, and meals in advance. Morocco can also be busy during Christmas and New Year.
In winter, you can expect snow in the High Atlas Mountains and chilly evenings in cities near the mountains and the Sahara Desert. In summer, temperatures can be very high, so we recommend staying in accommodations with air conditioning and swimming pools, traveling in air-conditioned vehicles, drinking plenty of water, and avoiding low valleys where heavy rain may cause flash floods.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and one of the most important periods in Morocco. Its dates change each year because it follows the lunar calendar, moving about twelve days earlier annually. During Ramadan, daily life in Morocco slows down, especially during daylight hours, but the country remains welcoming and accessible for travelers.
During Ramadan, Muslims who are fasting avoid eating and drinking, including water, from dawn until sunset. They also refrain from smoking, intimacy, and negative behaviors such as gossip or arguments. Fasting is both a spiritual and social practice. After sunset, families and friends gather for iftar, the meal that breaks the fast, creating a lively and important cultural moment.
During Ramadan, many local cafés and restaurants close during the day, especially outside tourist areas. In major cities and popular destinations, you will still find places open for visitors. Bars and nightclubs are usually closed for the month, and alcohol is limited but available in some hotel restaurants and licensed venues serving foreigners. Winery visits are still possible in regions like Meknes and Essaouira.
Yes, travelers are allowed to eat and drink in public during Ramadan. Smoking is also permitted, but it is appreciated if done discreetly, as many people around you may be fasting.
Evenings are busy, especially after sunset. It is recommended to book dinner reservations in advance, as restaurants fill up quickly and options may be limited.
Showing basic respect for the local rhythm of life goes a long way. A simple understanding of Ramadan customs helps create positive interactions and a more meaningful travel experience.
Morocco remains open, safe, and welcoming during Ramadan, offering travelers a unique chance to experience the country during a special time of year.
