Sahara Tours
Day 1: Dades Valley
Begin your Sahara adventure from Marrakech, crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains and entering the captivating landscapes of southern Morocco. This private tour offers the flexibility to stop wherever and whenever you wish, allowing you to fully enjoy the awe-inspiring scenery.
Your first stop will be in Ouarzazate, home to the famous Cinema Atlas Studios, where iconic movies were filmed. You can take an insightful tour of the studios (ticket fee: 80 MAD) or relax with a drink at the Gladiator Bar in the Oscar Hotel. Continue to the historic Taourirt Kasbah, once a vital meeting point for caravan traders traveling between Timbuktu and Morocco’s key trading centers.
As your journey continues, you will pass through the lush Skoura palm grove and the beautiful Rose Valley, renowned for its rose bloom in April and May and its famous annual festival. Arrive in the Dades Valley, where you can relax and unwind, soaking in the pool and admiring the striking surrounding rock formations.

Day 2: Merzouga
Start your journey to the Sahara Desert by traversing the famous winding road, capturing stunning photos of the area before continuing to the dramatic Todra Canyon. Known for its fascinating architecture, vibrant local culture, and deep-rooted history, this region is a highlight of Morocco. No special equipment is needed to explore the canyon, which also serves as Morocco’s premier rockclimbing destination.
Next, visit the award-winning El Khorbat village, recognized as the “Best Sustainable Village” by UNESCO in 2023. Explore the village’s ethnographic museum to learn more about its cultural heritage, and then experience the ingenious underground irrigation system that sustains life in the Sahara region.
Arrive in the Sahara Desert, an area that once lay beneath a prehistoric ocean, leaving fossils scattered across the landscape. Ride a camel, the “ship of the desert,” and enjoy a breathtaking sunset before checking into your luxury glamping experience. In the evening, dine under a canopy of billions of stars, free from light pollution, and enjoy the rhythm of traditional drums around a campfire for a truly unforgettable night.

Day 3: Ait Ben Haddou
Start your day with a breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes, followed by a hearty breakfast. Begin your journey towards Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, while passing through the historic town of Errissani, a former trading hub between Fes and Timbuktu.
Continue through Tazarine, known for its Henna production, and journey along the scenic Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest valley lined with date palms, ideal for a peaceful meal stop. Cross the volcanic Anti-Atlas Mountain range, where the shifting landscapes promise a day full of visual wonders.
In the afternoon, explore Ait Ben Haddou, a traditional village and UNESCO World Heritage site. This village has been the filming location for many famous international movies and TV series, including Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Prince of Persia, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, and Babel.

Day 4: Marrakech
Wake up to the serene sound of birds and begin your day with a scenic drive along the Ounila Valley. Immerse yourself in the region’s rich history and admire its stunning architecture, once home to powerful families who provided protection for caravan traders and controlled the lucrative salt mines, historically referred to as “white gold.”
Visit the iconic Kasbah El Glaoui, also known as the “Eagle’s Nest,” before enjoying lunch in the valley. Afterward, head back to Marrakech via the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains, where scenes from the famous Mission Impossible motorbike chase were filmed. Upon arrival in Marrakech, our crew will drop you off at the nearest parking area to your accommodation (if booked separately), marking the end of your unforgettable desert adventure.
