Casablanca

The Gateway to Morocco

Casablanca, Morocco's financial hub, was originally known as Anfa, meaning "bright light" in the indigenous language. Over the centuries, the city’s name evolved with the influence of various civilizations.
The Portuguese called it Casabranca, the Spanish Casablanca, and the Arabs Addar-Al Baidaa. As Morocco’s largest city, it’s famously associated with the classic film Casablanca, though none of the scenes were actually filmed here. For many, Casablanca serves as the gateway to Morocco, especially if arriving at Mohamed V Airport.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel by the Atlantic Ocean, where your adventure begins. A highlight of your stay will be a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque, perched over the water and built over seven years with contributions from the Moroccan people under the guidance of the former king. This architectural masterpiece is sure to inspire, whether you’re an interior design enthusiast or not.

End your day with an aerial view of the city from one of its tallest skyscrapers, where you can enjoy a Casablanca beer while watching your first Moroccan sunset over the Atlantic and the majestic mosque.
